Algeria's legendary goalkeeper Abdelrahman Allane passed away at 56, after playing for the national team in just two matches.

And the Algerian Football Federation has announced the death of the former international goalkeeper Abdelrahman Allane, who played for the national team in two matches.

The federation said: "With great sadness and sorrow, and with hearts believing in the will of God and His decree, we received the news of the death of the former goalkeeper of the Moludia Abdelrahman Allane, and in the wake of this great loss, the President of the Board of Directors of the Moludia and all members of the administration and the team offer their condolences and sympathy to all members of the deceased's family, and we ask the Almighty to forgive him and grant him a wide mercy, and to settle him in the spacious gardens of paradise".

During his football career, Allane played for several Algerian clubs, starting with the Moludia in 1990 and continuing in the club until 1994, before joining the Shabab Al-Qabail, where he played between 1994 and 1996.

And Abdelrahman Allane returned to the Moludia in the 1996-1997 season, before playing for the Widad Boufarik between 1997 and 1998, and he completed his professional career with the Algeria Union, where he played from 1998 to 2000.

And the deceased also represented the Algerian national team in two matches only, where he appeared for the first time on June 5, 1998 against Bulgaria, in a 2-0 defeat, before participating in the second international match on July 31 of the same year against Libya, in a match that Algeria won 3-1.
