Amine Sejakhia returns to Algeria national team after major disappointment in World Cup 2026, expected to return in September.
What did Amine Sejakhia say about the major disappointment?
Amine Sejakhia, a graduate of FC Copenhagen, joined the Algeria national team for the first time at the end of 2024, receiving a promise from the local football federation to participate in the World Cup, which did not happen in the end due to coach Vladimir Petković's choices.
Amine Sejakhia said in an interview with Danish newspaper 'Tipspiladet': "The fact that I was not invited to participate in the last World Cup was a major disappointment for me".
He added, addressing coach Vladimir Petković: "My exclusion from the final list put me in a difficult psychological state, but I overcame it by increasing my work and training".
He continued: "The mission was complex for me, but I am a person who has not achieved anything easily in his life, I decided to raise the challenge, and I made extra efforts, and the results began to appear during this season with Rosenborg".
He continued: "I found my landmarks in Norway after a difficult start, now everyone knows my way of playing, the coaching staff puts me in the best conditions, and I strive to present the best I can during the remaining period of my contract".
It is expected that Amine Sejakhia will return to the Algeria national team from the wide door, starting from the September camp, especially since his competitors in the center of the warhead did not show much during the World Cup finals.
