Hotel General Manager Heather Shull said, "[The ping pong table] was a great and much-loved addition to the Team Hang Out space at the hotel… We were so grateful to have it added to all the games and out of what we had, it was definitely the most use."

Before departing Lawrence for Vancouver to face Switzerland in the Round of 32, the entire Algerian national team signed the table's surface.
